Hotels
There are plenty of places to stay both in and around Windhoek. These range from backpacker hostels, through bed and breakfasts and guesthouses to luxury hotels and lodges. There are good-quality hotels both in Windhoek and Swakopmund, and some scattered throughout the country. There are a number of 4-star hotels in Windhoek and one in Etosha, all with modern conference facilities. There is one 4-star hotel in Swakopmund. Hotel accommodation is limited and visitors are advised to book well in advance.

Hotel Furstenhof
If you are looking for a traditional hotel in the mid price range for your stay in Windhoek, then Hotel Furstenhof is a good choice. It is well located in the centre of Windhoek, just a few minutes walk from Independence Avenue. All the rooms at the Furstenhof Hotel have been recently upgraded and accommodation is in 16 luxurious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, telephone and satellite television. The Heinitzburg Hotel
The location of the Heinitzburg Hotel is what attracts the visitors more. Situated in one of Windhoek's beautiful castles, The Heinitzburg Castle, it was commissioned in 1914 and overlooks Namibia's capital city. Heinitzburg pays wonderful attention to detail be it the four-poster beds or the hand made wooden furniture. The personal attention you receive from your host is also something special. Accommodation is in graded among the best with spacious, generously appointed en-suite rooms, each with its own spectacular view of the Khomas Hochland Mountains.
Visitors can indulge in a full continental breakfast is served in a choice of settings: outdoors, in the garden cafe overlooking the city and the Khomas Hochland or indoors or in the richly finished Aschenborn Room located in the old Castle. The restaurant, Leo's at the Castle, is probably the top eatery in Namibia. The views from the balcony overlooking Windhoek are spectacular. And cocktails at sunset are a popular diversion.
Lodges: In the Etosha National Park and other game reserves, there are well-equipped rest camps with comfortable accommodation. Reservations for the national parks can be made with Namibia Wildlife Resorts Ltd.

Camping: Namibia’s most famous National Park, the Etosha National Park & Game Reserve, have good camping facilities. Visitors can also avail the facilities at Ai-Ais, a hot-spring area towards the South African border, Hardap Dam in the south, Gross Barmen near Okahandja, Popa Falls in Kavango, in the Namib-Naukluft Park and at various places along the coast.
